I am resuming the newsletter after a hiatus of a few months. I will continue them from time to time as I have time. (As usual, if you want to unsubscribe, see the directions at the bottom.)

To have a prosperous New Year, you need to take some steps to help assure success. Where does EFT (and other Meridian Tapping Techniques) fit into an overall program of prosperity? What is prosperity? Most people think of material things like money when prosperity is mentioned. But the definition includes words like “flourishing,” “successful,” “strong,” and “vigorous.” I suggest that without vigorous health and joyful relationships, money doesn’t matter. So I define prosperity as being successful in all areas of your life -- relationships, health, finances, and happiness. And EFT is one of the most potent tools to use in a prosperity program. (I teach EFT instead of other MTTs because it is quite powerful and can be used as a self-help tool.)

Dr. Joseph Mercola (www.mercola.com) lists the basic tenets of optimal health.

  1. Eat a healthy diet.
  2. Drink plenty of clean water.
  3. Exercise.
  4. Get plenty of appropriate sun exposure (for Vitamin D).
  5. Limit toxin exposure.
  6. Get plenty of sleep.
  7. Manage your stress.

Mercola.com is the most visited natural health website on the internet. Dr. Mercola recommends using EFT (or MTT) for sleep problems, to manage stress, and to handle the emotional components of a weight loss program. I wrote about using EFT for insomnia and stress last year. Review those to see if there is more work to do.

One of the uses of EFT that I rarely see other EFT writers mention is to support an exercise program. As we get older, we tend to have a reduction in flexibility and strength, especially if we spend a lot of time sitting in front of the TV. EFT is great tool to increase flexibility. I wrote about that last year in one of my golf newsletters.

Another use of EFT is to handle motivation problems regarding exercise. This is one I struggle with. Even though we have a gym less than 150 feet from my office, I often can find an excuse not to exercise. Tapping will often dissolve the resistance. “Even though I don’t feel like working out, I deeply and completely accept myself.”

We tend to think that more money will make us happy. Several studies have shown that money does make us happy -- if we live in poverty. But once basic needs are met, more money doesn’t make us any happier. Still, financial prosperity is certainly important to us. It can give us freedom to live life to the fullest and the resources to contribute to others.

EFT is a powerful tool to uncover and gently remove emotional blocks to financial prosperity. The best information for using EFT for financial prosperity is the work of Dr. Carol Look. Her paperback books, e-books, audio books, and instructional DVDs are simply the best. Be advised; they are not cheap, but they are worth it.

EFT is a great tool for relationships. I introduced healing heartbreak and the Conflict Resolution Contrast Process in previous newsletters. Re-visit those to see if there is any further work to do to improve your relationships.

Incorporate EFT into your daily routine in 2010. I wrote about that in a prior newsletter. Review that for tips.

In 2010, resolve to use the simple but powerful tool of EFT every day.

You can take the Rowe Distress Inventory at n-o  c-h-a-r-g-e. I suggest that you take it every week or so to track how you are doing. I don't see these tests.
